2017 Beginners Photography Workshop

from 100.00

If you answer yes to one or more of these questions then you need this class!!!

  1.  Do you have a DSLR camera?
  2. Do you shoot on the green square and wonder why your images don’t come out like you imagined?
  3. Do you want to learn how to freeze action, or capture soft milky water?
  4. Do you want to understand how to get every image to be sharp and in focus?
  5. Do you want to know how to create a dreamy blurry background that is coveted by the pros?

You will learn all this and more in this one class!

Don't take my work for it, here is what one happy student had to say:

Donna Brown
“I recently participated in Melissa's beginner's photography workshop. I am fairly new to DSL photography, having always used a point and shoot camera. Melissa did a wonderful job in helping me to understand my camera's settings and the concepts of general photography. She was well prepared, organized, and a good teacher. I felt totally comfortable asking her lots of questions and when the workshop was finished, I had a much better understanding of how to use my camera. Melissa is a very talented artist, and is organizing photo walks with her students where she gives one-on-one tips. I would highly recommend her workshop for anyone who wants to get a good start in digital photography.”

Who:

This workshop is for everyone and anyone who wants to learn how to take control of their camera. This is a beginner’s class, and I keep it small so there is no way you will not learn everything listed below and more.

What:

In this workshop, you will learn:

· How to read your camera

· The triangle of exposure (aperture, shutter speed, ISO)

· How to shoot manual, aperture priority, shutter priority, and bulb

· The difference, RAW vs Jpg

· And so much more!

When/Where:

The class takes around 4 hours, plus we will break for lunch, plus the optional but highly recommended, photo walk. So it can be a full day around 7 hours.

The class can be split-up into two days.

The walk is to apply the skills you have learned. The location will be in West Mobile, AL. I will email you the address after you signup for the class.

Photo Walk

There are no physical requirements for the walk. We will go as far or stay as close as every person in the class is able. The point of the walk is to get out and use your camera, to get comfortable with it, not to walk off the pounds. But, that is a bonus!
